Releasing music into the world is not wholly dissimilar from releasing an animal from an enclosure. The songs may come back, they may not. Either way, there is little doubt they will feel compelled to explore the edges of their recent containment.

It is in that spirit that Goodwin offers their first studio release The Hunt; a collection of tunes captured in the wild - pinned down, lovingly, held, whispered to - then let go. Back where they belong.

The Hunt was recorded at The Halo Studio in Windham, Maine in June 2023. The album was engineered and mixed by Jon Wyman, mastered by Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering, and co-produced by Jason Fletcher, Michael E. Goodwin, Matt Lydon, Chris Sartori, and Jon Wyman.

The album features Jason Fletcher on guitar, vocals, Michael E. Goodwin on vocals, guitar, Matt Lydon on drums, Ben Lester on pedal steel, Chris Sartori on bass, organ, auxiliary percussion, bird, vocals, and Jon Wyman on vocals.

Singles from the album began streaming in the summer of 2023. The full album will be available on vinyl in September 2023, and on all digital platforms in October 2023.
